I thought it would be kinda fun to draw up a whole new planet. Down the road I'll make some concepts of civilizations to go along with it.

:O

You have absolutely blown me away, man. This is...Wow. Did you use Paint? I mean...That's just astounding...

One thing I did notice. Might want another set of mountains on the eastern continent dividing its north and south.

Thanks, man! Glad you like it! I used Corel Painter 11. Although the I really think I messed up the scale. It just kinda looks like a mere continent, rather than an entire planet.... Hmmm..

:icondauziel:
Yeah, it does look like two regular continents rather than two super ones. On top of the scale, you were also very conservative with the rivers and mountains. The deserts were also very, very large. While deserts CAN be close to oceans, they're usually much farther, hiding behind mountains. Example, the Sahara. It's behind the Atlas mountains to the northwest, and whatever is to the south and east.

Still, for two continents, it's beautiful.

Again, thanks for your comments and advice. Do you think I could use these continents as a base for my civilizations? Later, if I feel like it, I could draw up some new ones. So for now, I have two continents on my giant planet. The other ones are simply unexplored. :p

Oh, yeah. You ought to scale this up, shrink the deserts a bit, then throw in more rivers, lakes, and mountains, then it ought to be good, really. Ready for making some cultures?
:iconmrekul:
Yepp, I think so. I'll probably get some sketches up tomorrow. By then 7 hours of school should have produced something!

All right :3

Let me think...
1-Most cultures fight and have wars.
2-Most cultures have some sort of tradition or stories in common.
3-Nomadic cultures tend to be family-orientated
4-Most cultures have some idea of 'God' or 'Gods.' Atheism is rather new on the scale we know it today.
5-Their environment often shapes their culture.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Yay for world development! I wanted to do that this summer for a whimsical steampunk society, but the project got lost somewhere along the way...

Congrats on pulling off the map-like look, by the way. I've tried it before, definitely not an easy task.
:iconmrekul:
You should do it! Perhaps that could be a future project in class...?

And thanks again!
